Facebook Business pages are where you should be promoting your business, advising customers of sales or specials and posting links to articles relevant to your business, things you think your customers would like to know about your business.
I'm a big believer in keeping your Personal Facebook page and your Business Facebook page separate. I personally do not want my existing and potential customers knowing what's going on in my social life.
You can create a Facebook Business page by going to the footer of your Facebook page (yes, you do have to have a personal Facebook account first). In the footer is a link to "Create a Page".
If you click on this it will give you options to create a page for your business. You will automatically be nominated as the administrator and you can add other administrators as you need.
If you need to go back to your business page, on the left side of Facebook is a list of your pages OR you can click on Account in the top right corner, then select "Use Facebook as Page".
