What's the difference between a website designer and developer?

Website design and development is often used interchangeably but there are differences.

Simplistically, Website Designers focus on the look and feel of your site, whilst Website Developers focus on the 'behind the scenes' coding.

What you need depends on what you want your site to achieve, basic website pages can usually be created by website designers. 

A more complex and dynamic website, such as an eCommerce or database driven website, will probably require a developer.
