Questions to ask your web designer/developer.

Not sure where to start with your website designer / developer?

Here are a few questions to get you going:-

1. What's included in the price?
2. Does it include Domain Name registration? How long i.e. 1yr, 2yrs, 5yrs etc
3. Does it include Website Hosting? How long i.e 1yr, 2yrs etc
4. What does the Hosting include? 
• email addresses, 
• bandwidth usage,
• file space, 
• ability to install CMS, if required, 
• ability to have eCommerce site, if required,
• backups - manual and automatic, cost to restore backups
5. How many pages does that include?
6. How many revisions do I get?
   
7. Are images included or do I have to provide my own?
8. What support is provided?
9. What training is included - personal and documentation?
10. What is classed as maintenance and how much do you charge?

Hopefully this will help you get an idea of what sort of things to ask and give you a better understanding of what you are getting from your website designer/developer.
