Increasing your search results using your blog

One of the ways that search engines use to check is the activity on your site - when was it last updated, what new information has been included, have any new pages been added? Search engines usually review your website every 2 - 3 weeks, unless your web editor has told it otherwise.

If you regularly update your site with new information or additional pages, then the search engines know that your website is current and will probably rank it higher than a website with similar information that is much older.

One way of increasing the activity or currency of information on your site is to add your blog posts to your website. This means that when you post a new tidbit of information on your blog, your website also gets updated!
